Ultrasonography

Ultrasound is an additional diagnostic imaging procedure to help further evaluate soft tissue organs. Unlike x-rays, ultrasound can better visualize the internal architecture of a diseased organ. When an ultrasound is needed, we can have a mobile veterinarian certified in small animal ultrasound perform this procedure in our hospital. At times, we may also advise having a concurrent consultation with an internal medicine specialist who performs ultrasounds for us off site.
